This basic shelter of the Col du Sac is located on the alternative of the GR "Balcon du Léman" (Lake Geneva Balcony). You can also access it from Menthières or the Charnaz car park. There are 6 berths with mattresses and blankets and a wood-burning stove.

Located right next to the National Nature Reserve of the Haute Chaîne du Jura. Be aware of the boundaries and the regulations in force before going there.
It is your responsibility to respect the premises, to clean up after yourself, and to take away your waste.
Please note: all forms of camping are prohibited in the Haute Chaîne du Jura. However, there is a tolerance in the immediate vicinity of chalets and shelters open to the public (within a radius of 15 metres around the said chalet) if the latter are full.
Specific case for bivouac ("temporary camping without tent"): the Prefectorial Order of 16 October 2017 sets the conditions for bivouacs within the Nature Reserve. For further information on the subject, visit the site of the Haute Chaine de Jura National Nature Reserve.
