INTERREG and the Conseil du Léman support the Léman sans Frontière project: “the development, promotion and commercialisation of Franco-Swiss tourist holidays” in order to satisfy visitors’ expectations as well as possible.

INTERREG is a vector of cross-border cooperation and the INTERREG IV France – Switzerland programme supports cross-border projects as well as the balanced and sustainable development of border regions.

The INTERREG IV 2007 – 2013 programme followed on from three generations of programmes enabling partnerships to be developed and providing local stakeholders with a framework and resources to implement cross-border projects which have often had a direct impact on the life of the inhabitants, both in the Jura arc and the Lake Geneva basin.

The association Léman sans Frontière participated in the INTERREG IV programme with resources significantly reinforced by the European Union and implemented under the aegis of the Franche-Comté region and the regional Swiss coordinations. The aim of this programme is to support the capacity for cross-border innovation by encouraging the sustainable development of the cooperation area and the development of the cross-border tourist actions around Lake Geneva implemented by our network of 35 essential Franco-Swiss tourist sites.
