Welcome to 17th Century Cheese dairy in Moléson

The cheese dairy : first built in 1686, rebuilt in 1827 and renovated in 1990. The building is protected as a historic monument.

The cheese dairy is situated in the heart of “La Gruyère”, at 10 km from the highway A12, exit Bulle.

In the middle of the high mountain parture the cheese dairy dominates the village <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />square of Moléson-sur-Gruyères.

Cottage industry of cheese

Cheese is made in the traditional way in a huge cauldron on the fireplace inside the chalet.

Temporary exhibition

A room of the chalet is reserved for temporary art exhibitions of regional artists.

Tasting-Sale of regional product : wine, chocolate, cheese. Little catering of chalet specialities. You’ll apreciate the specialities of “La Gruyère”, for example : fondue, double cream, salted and smoked ham in the different restaurants of the resort.
