3 Culture Land of Voltaire, Ferney-Voltaire

Between 1759 and 1778 at Ferney, Voltaire developed his model of an ideal city working by turns as town planner, architect, gardener, industrialist, political writer and man of the theatre. Voltaire’s castle is closed for complete recovery. Until 2018, all spaces will be renovated and redesigned to better perceive the traces of the presence of Voltaire. Guided tours of the park are offered and allow you to discover the life and work of the famous philosopher.
