The former residence of the Knights of Aigle, the nobility of Compey-Thorens and then the Bernese Governors, it has now opened its doors to one and all with an invitation to discover the Vine and Wine Museum within its prestigious walls.

Vine and Wine Museum
Since 2010, the Vine and Wine Museum is meeting new challenges, adapting with the times and with the expectations of its visitors. Based on current practices of the wine-producing world in our regions, the Vine and Wine Museum puts them into their environmental and historical contexts. It presents six different collections each with major emphasis on interactive exhibits.

The Frédéric Rouge Collection
Thanks to the Frédéric Rouge Foundation, which has put together the artist’s workshop, the painter’s works are now on display to the general public. Dîme House, the former barn of Aigle Castle, is the setting for temporary exhibitions making sure that everyone can see the collective works produced by this native of Aigle.
