For 18 months, 24 photographs by 15 prizewinners will travel through several French and Swiss towns, offering an artistic view of the night and its many facets.

Description

Initiated by the Pôle métropolitain du Genevois français, the Association des communes genevoises (ACG) and the City of Geneva, this 3ᵉ edition highlights the cultural wealth and cross-border links of the territory through a traveling, open-air exhibition accessible to all.

A unifying theme that blurs borders.
Last November, the photographic competition invited residents of Greater Geneva to explore the nightlife of this cross-border catchment area. The theme inspired a variety of visions: night as a place of life, mystery, solitude or celebration. Through these images, the artists question our relationship with darkness, urban lights and nocturnal tranquility. This exhibition is an invitation to rediscover the night, while forging cultural and social links between the inhabitants of Greater Geneva.

A demanding selection for a quality exhibition
With over 600 images submitted by more than 100 photographers, this year's exhibition attracted a record number of entries. The jury, made up of photography professionals, cultural representatives and elected officials, selected 24 works reflecting the diversity of viewpoints and rich sensibilities on the theme of night.
