Alta Lumina is an enchanted nighttime journey in the heart of the French Alps, in the village of Les Gets. All year round, visitors can take part in the incredible adventure of a music peddler who takes off in his hot air balloon and travels beyond the mountains, with family or friends.

Visitors are immersed in a unique, enchanting environment, where the story is told poetically through light, images in all their forms, scenography, and interactivity. The journey is specially designed to provide visitors with an emotionally rich experience, where music can be seen and light can be heard.

Museum of Mechanical Music

Les Gets – Come and discover the museum’s incredible collection of mechanical instruments. Nearly 1,000 items are on display, including chimes, clocks, music boxes, orchestrions, mechanical pianos, string instruments, barrel organs, automatons, phonographs, and more.

The Museum of Mechanical Music, which opened in 1988, has recently doubled its exhibition space and completely redesigned its layout. Prepare to be amazed as you discover a unique and original collection of over 850 items, including chimes, music boxes, street organs, dance organs, carousel organs, mechanical pianos, automatic accordions and violins, orchestrions, phonographs and gramophones, automatons, and animated scenes, presented in the context of their era throughout the museum’s various rooms covering 1,500 m².

Our lively tours will delight your eyes and ears. Similarly, our vintage carousel (1871) will delight young and old alike (in season, Place de la Mairie).
